Mother Tucker’s raises money for kids for Christmas

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Some families and children will have a little brighter Christmas thanks to one local business.
Mother Tucker’s hosted their second annual car show and flea market on Saturday. While the weather and area construction may have diminished the attendance a little, they were still excited by the response.
“This is my second year doing this. We do it for kids for Christmas, I’ve done it for six years down here but this is my second car show I’ve done. I’ve got 18 cars here today, I had I think 23, 24 last year. Due to the weather and road construction, I’m very pleased ” said Manager Mark Lane.
Lane says that they are grateful for the corporate support and sponsorship that allowed them to raffle away many prizes, and emphasized his joy at seeing the community come together for the event.
“We got a lot of big sponsors this year. O’reilly’s, I mean I can go on and on, but yeah we got probably 30 sponsors. We almost doubled for the second year of doing this. I’m glad that everyone came out, it really makes me feel good seeing the community get together because we’ve never seen this before,” added Lane.
Next year, Lane mentioned, that he hopes to see the show continue to grow and maybe even have it held at a local park.
