Motorcycles for Kids Toy Ride a success

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Saturday many bikers crowded Colony Square Mall to participate in a fundraising ride down Maple. Today one of the event organizers has a special message for the bikers and the community.
When Pastor Michael McGuire isn’t delivering a message to his congregation, he can be found on his bike — that’s only natural considering he presides over Rushing Wind Biker Church. And this past weekend, McGuire, members of his congregation, and members of other biker clubs gathered to do something nice for children in Muskingum County.
“Our 21st annual Motorcycles for Kids Toy Ride was a fantastic success. We raised over $6,000 and boxes of toys to help the underprivileged children here in Muskingum County area.”
The bikers rode from the mall down to the Salvation Army. Over 200 bikers and bike enthusiasts showed up to support the cause. Pastor McGuire says this event wouldn’t have been a success without the help of the community.
“A great big thank you to all of the businesses, all the motorcyclists, and especially the Salvation Army for allowing our community to partner up with them to help our children.”
The gifts donated and money raised will help the Salvation Army with their Angel Tree fundraiser which will help make sure each child has a gift under the tree this Christmas.
