Motorcyclist Pleads In Fatal Accident Case

A Zanesville man charged in connection with a fatal motorcycle accident in February on State Route 60 north appears in court Monday.  The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 20-year-old Zachary Tigner plead guilty to an amended charge of aggravated vehicular homicide – a felony of the third degree.  The Highway Patrol says on February 20th Tigner was traveling on SR 60, just north of Mcglade School Road and attempted to pass a truck that was turning into a driveway and contact was made.  The Patrol says a passenger on the motorcycle – 20-year-old Luka Smith of Zanesville was pronounced dead at the scene. Tignor suffered serious injuries. Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case.
