Mrs. Claus coming to Riesbeck’s
She usually stays at the North Pole to bake all the cookies, but starting Saturday Mrs. Claus will be visiting Riesbeck’s stores across the area.
Riesbeck’s has gotten Mrs. Claus to come back for a second year to decorate Christmas tree cookies with kids of all ages. We spoke with Mrs. Claus herself Tuesday. She said it’s good to get out of her kitchen and come help decorate with the kids.
"I love baking cookies," said Mrs. Claus. "The elves are always eating the cookies. They sneak into my kitchen and steal them, so this time we’re getting Riesbeck’s to help bake them so we can decorate them together and have a little party right here in the store."
Everyone is welcome to come down, decorate cookies take pictures and give your Christmas lists to Mrs. Claus. Riesbeck’s is selling the cookies in packs of three for $1.29. However, Jane Dombroski who is the store events coordinator for Riesbeck’s said anyone is welcome to come down and decorate at least one cookie.
"Who doesn’t like cookies during christmas time right? And maybe some people don’t know how to bake, they’re not really good bakers, so let us do the baking for you," said Dombroski. "All you have to do is decorate them the way you want to decorate them."
