Multiple Vehicle Crash on State Route 93
At approximately 6:19 p.m. on Wednesday, the State HIghway Patrol was called to a multiple vehicle crash on 93 at the intersection of Roseville Rd and Lambert Rd.
Seargent Melanie Appleman with the State Highway Patrol said a van was traveling northbound on 93 when it was attempting to pass a vehicle. Upon going back into the right lane, the van lost control and hit a southbound car head on in the left lane.
The driver and passenger of the van were not seriously injured while the driver and passenger of the other vehicle hit head on were seriously injured. The driver was life flighted to Grant and the passenger,who is a minor, was transported to Genesis Hospital.
There was a third vehicle that wrecked unrelated to the intial two vehicle collision. That vehicle was heading northbound and was trying to avoid the crash and went into the right barrier on the side of the road. Neither driver and passengers of that vehicle were injured.
State Highway Patrol and Newton Township Fire department were the first responders to the scene. At this time police are unable to release additional information on those involved in the crash.
