Murl E. “Red†Wallace, 80 of Zanesville, passed away at 2:30 pm Friday February 3, 2012 at Genesis Hospital, Bethesda Campus.
Red was born April 18, 1931 in Blue Rock the son of the late Ura Vernon and Minnie Mae (Miller) Wallace. He retired in 1986 from the Ohio Ferro Alloy, he also retired from Neff Trucking then he worked for Dutro Ford. He served his country in the US Army.
Red is survived by his two nephew Delmar “Doc†Parker and Steve Smith; his great-nieces Cathy Wickham, Janet Gill and Tammy Bragg; several other great-nieces and nephews also his extended family and his special friend Gary L. Gill.
In addition to his parents, Red is preceded in death by two sisters Cleo Faye Parker and Gladys Hudson.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, February 5th 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Monday with Pastor Joe Rolland officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
