Join J.W. Dennison as he tours the various museums of Muskingum County, where local art and history are on full display. The pilot episode of the series takes you to New Concord, Ohio, at the Eastern-most edge of the county. John Glenn was the first man to orbit the Earth in 1962 and his boyhood home now serves as a museum that preserves his and Annie’s story. John was also a decorated fighter pilot and U.S. Senator for the state of Ohio. Annie became a major advocate for people with communication-based disabilities after learning to navigate her stutter.

The John and Annie Glenn Museum is open May through October on Wednesdays through Sundays. You can see more information on their website and enjoy the show!

Keep an eye out for the next episode of Museums of Muskingum, where J.W. will take a tour of the National Road and Zane Grey Museum in Norwich.
