Muskies Star Oliver Stays Local, Signs with Ursuline College
NEW CONCORD, OH
Another big signing day over at John Glenn were girls basketball star Maya Oliver officially signed her letter of intent to attend Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, three hours away from home. It’s a big decision for Oliver, a long journey, but one that she is more than ready for when she takes the court for Ursuline next winter.
“I think when I had a talk with the coaches and it just made me feel like home, and the coaches actually cared about me as a person” said Oliver. “And that’s important to me, being able to have a relationship and a bond with my coaches and also meeting their team and like their atmosphere and environment was very welcoming.”
“Mostly I’ll miss my friends and seeing them every day. They mean a lot to me, so I think just meeting new people will be exciting but also not seeing my friends right now will also be a change.”
