Muskies win opening OAC tournament game

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – In dramatic fashion, the Muskingum Muskies pulled the upset and took down the higher seeded Blue Streaks of John Carroll in the opening round of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament.

Trailing 69-68 with three second to play, Marcus Dempsey caught the inbound pass and hit a three pointer to give the Muskies the win 69-68. The Muskies were the seventh seed, while JCU was the second seed in the eight-team tournament. Dempsey finished with a team high 14 points.
