Muskingum Co. Community Foundation Offers Open House Hours

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Muskingum County Community Foundation is offering open house hours for this month. They’re calling it “March Scholarship Madness“.

The Scholarship Central Access Program will have extended hours through March from four in the afternoon until seven in the evening.

“With so many scholarship applications coming due here at the end of the month, we are hosting some open hours for students to come in to get some help with those applications. Essays, the applications themselves, trying to find applications, whatever they might need help with, that’s what we’re here for,” says Katie McCarthy, Mgr. of Education Programs.

The open house hours will take place on three dates — those are March 9, March 11 and March 19.

“We just wanted to offer an opportunity for students to come in, maybe just have a quiet space to come in and work on things, or we’ll have computers available if that’s something you need. It’s just an opportunity to come in and get help, or get those applications done,” McCarty says.

Advisors will be available on those dates and times to help students fill out scholarship applications, filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and help with financial aid packages and research scholarship opportunities.
