Muskingum Valley Council B.S.A. has a new addition

Boy Scout Trailer

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum Valley Council Boy Scouts of America is excited about a new addition to their team.

Ed Mulholland, the Director, said it is a brand new trailer and they just got it back with new graphics. It was donated to them with funds from the Cambridge Kiwanis Club.

“This is a program trailer, inside we have everything we need for a family fun day from BB guns and archery to lawn fishing and craft stations, tables, canopies, that kind of thing,” Mullholland said.

The idea is that they can take it to any community in the seven counties and have a Cub Scout fun day or a Boy Scout fun day. Barns Advertising and the Mount Vernon Community Foundation helped with the graphics on the trailer.

“You know everybody thinks of camping and pinewood derby’s and those kinds of things, it’s really a little bit of bait and switch,” Mullholland said. “The main purpose really, our mission is to instill positive values that you find in a scout oath like duty to God, duty to country, personal fitness, those kinds of things.”

If you are interested in scouting you can go to the Be A Scout website and it is going to ask for your zip code, once you enter that it will give you all of the local scout units and their contact information.
