Muskingum County Commissioner Resigns

A change will soon take place at the Muskingum County Commissioners office. Muskingum County Republican Party Chairman Pat Hennessey says that Commissioner Todd Sands is resigning effective the end of October. Hennessey says Sands is dealing with his fourth bout with cancer and its making it impossible to be a full time commissioner. The Republican Central Committee will meet 15 days after Sands’ resignation date and will have 45 days to pick his successor. Hennessey says the appointment will take place sometime in November or December. Sands’ unexpired term ends in December of 2016.
