***UPDATE***Escaped inmate Back in Custody

***UPDATE*** 1:58 pm  The escaped Muskingum County Jail inmate is back in custody.  He was pulled from the Muskingum River and is being treated inside an ambulance before being taken back to jail.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says 32-year-old Dustin Blagg of Crooksville escaped from the county jail Tuesday.  Lutz says Blagg was a kitchen worker and was in the sally port unloading a truck…the door was open and the inmate took off running.  The Sheriff says Blagg has been spotted on a log in the Muskingum River.  The Zanesville Fire Department has been called to put in their boat and pull the inmate out of the water.  Lutz says the case will be forwarded  to the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office for escape charges.
