Muskingum County Job Fair

If you’re new to the job scene, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is holding a job fair to help.

Employers who are actively hiring will set up shop at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center on October 1. In an effort to ease the job hunting process, all county residents looking for employment are encouraged to stop by.

“This is a chance to get face-to-face with the person doing the actual hiring, so it’s a good chance to put your best foot forward, if you will, and also just to see what all jobs are out there, one visit, one location to see multiple employers and get a good feel for what’s going on,” said Dana Matz, Member Services Director.

Time Warner Cable, the Ohio Stave Company and other big names are expected to attend. It’s the second year for the fair and Matz said the first go-round was a success.

“We had folks here starting at 2 o’clock right up to 6 o’clock, and a lot of people were hired out of the job fair, and in our follow-up with the different employers that were here they liked the format, they liked the marketing that was done,” Matz said.
