ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s dog of the week is proving age is just a number with all of his puppy energy.

Meet Alfred! He’s a 5-year-old bully mix who’s neutered, appears kid and dog friendly, and is searching for his forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says Alfred enjoys playing with toys and is highly motivated with a treat or two.

“If you would happen to be someone who likes to go for walks, he just might be a great companion for you.” McQuaid said. “Very easy to walk so that makes it definitely a plus when doing such a thing like that.”

McQuaid says they also have food available if you’re in need, just stop into the Adoption Center or give them a call and they will get you set up.

He also says on Sunday, October 19th, they will be closing the Center at 2PM so staff and volunteers can get ready for the Trunk-or-Treat happening at Texas Roadhouse.

“Also, October 27th, our Trunk-or-Treat will be going on from 5 to 6:30.” McQuaid said. “We’re still looking for businesses to participate so if that’s something you would like to do as well, stop by or give the staff a call.”

If you are interested in adopting Alfred, picking up some food, or signing up for the Trunk-or-Treat, you can reach out to the K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273.
