Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Flint!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week is as sweet as sugar.

Meet Flint! He’s a 1-year-old terrier mix who’s neutered, does well with other dogs as well as kids, and is searching for his forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer with the K-9 Adoption Center, says the staff just adore Flint and he would make a good addition into just about any home.

“He takes a treat very well, he will actually sit for that.” McQuaid said. “Just loves to be [loved], he’s everything that anybody could want for [in a dog], so please if he’s something you’re looking for he would just be a fabulous dog.”

McQuaid wanted to let the community know that they have dog food available at the Adoption Center for those that are in need.

He also says if you’ve been looking for an excuse to get out of the house, they are always looking for volunteers to work with their pups.

“We’re always looking for volunteers, volunteers help us out with so many things!.” McQuaid said. “With learning different things about a dog, it lets the staff know, it helps us when we’re trying to get a dog adopted. We have customers coming in, asking many questions, a lot of times when they [dogs] come in, they come in as strays and we don’t always know so that helps us and you help them as well.”

If you are interested in adopting Flint or are in need of food, you can reach out to the K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273.
