Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Griffin!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s National Dress Up Your Pet Day and this week’s dog of the week was ready for the occasion.
Meet Griffin, a 2-year-old terrier-mix whose motivation for treats makes him easy to train and his costume says he’s ready for summer. According to K-9 Adoption Center volunteer Doug McQuaid, Griffin is the type of dog who’s a friend to everyone, regardless of species.
“He did very well with all the dogs at the adoption center and we even cat tested him and he seemed to do very well with that,” McQuaid said. “But of course, we’d always want to make sure that that would work out with any dog that you may have. So again, maybe schedule a meet and greet, come and meet him. We have a wonderful play yard you can go in and you can test out both dogs as well. ”
McQuaid would like the community to know that if you need dog food, the adoption center has some that is free to anyone who needs it. He also wants to remind the community of an important deadline.
“We’re getting down towards the end of the month. January 31, your dog license will be due and that’s very important. Because, with that dog license, that’s able for us to get your dog back to you and we’d love to have as many reclaims as possible. So please, make the effort to go and purchase your dog tags.”
If you’d like to learn more about getting your dog tags or how to adopt a dog like Griffin, you can call the Muskingum County Sheriff’s K-9 Adoption Center at (740) 453-0273.
