Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Hallie!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This weeks Dog of the Week was feeling festive and dressed up for her television debut. Meet Hallie! An affectionate one-year-old blue heeler mix who is friendly to everyone including other dogs. She loves treats and a nice soak in the tub for bath time but is also full of that puppy energy.
“Would be a great dog for someone that maybe just wants to go for walks. We always try to remind you that she is still a pup. So with that being said, just your basic commands and learning would be the priority to when you first get her,” said Doug McQuaid, K-9 Adoption Center volunteer.
The Muskingum County Sheriff’s K-9 Adoption Center is also announcing the Gingerbread Contest and Family Fun event that is this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Veteran’s Building at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.
“This event is for kids and their families so we have to leave our pups home for this event. This is free to the community. There’s going to be a hot chocolate bar, some games, icing cookies, facing painting, you can snap a picture with Santa. There’s going to be a lot of different things. available for the kiddos. There’s also a silent auction,” said Robin McQuaid, another K-9 Adoption Center volunteer. “There will also, hopefully, be some guest dogs there that you would be able to adopt on sight. ”
