Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Sandy!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week isn’t your typical Sandra Dee.

Meet Sandy! She’s a two-year-old terrier mix who’s spayed, does well with older children, and is eagerly searching for her forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says Sandy came to them as a stray with another dog and she seems to do well with other dogs, but they recommend a meet and greet if you have other furry friends in the home.

“We noticed she was very thin when she came into us and we’re trying to put some weight on her.” McQuaid said. “She seems to be very sweet, from the day she got her with the staff and volunteers and that’s always a plus. Her personality is very evident.”

McQuaid says Sandy appears to be ready to learn any tricks you throw at her, for the price of some treats of course.

He also wanted to share with the community that from now until August 2nd, the adoption fees at the Center will be $75.

“We offer microchips for $25, we always suggest that.” McQuaid said. “It’s just a great way of being able to get your dog back, relocated and back into the home and if you would please too, just come out. Stop by, give us a call, just come out and see some of our amazing dogs, if you’re considering adopting.”
