Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Tank
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Some dogs have all the luck.
Like this week’s K-9 Adoption Center’s Dog of the Week, Tank. He was found in Roseville last month with seriously injured eyes but after a Griff Fund supported surgery, he truly appreciates his new found sense of vision.
“This is Tank, the dog of the week. He’s a 1-year-old terrier mix. He was found abandoned on a back road here within Muskingum County. We brought him into our facility and realized he had a serious eye condition. So we got him some treatment for that eye condition by using the Griff Fund. Tank is a really friendly guy. He… so far we believe he’s really dog friendly and is just looking for somebody to love on him and get him back into a home. Not sure on all of his history but he’s a real good dog,” Muskingum County Sheriff’s Deputy Assigned to the Dog Warden Division Zach Keylor said.
When Tank hears a noise, he instantly turns his head in that direction as if he could trust his eyes for the first time in his life.
“Yeah, so with his eye problems that he had and since we had a corrective surgery like I said through the Griff Fund, he’s actually able to see a lot better and he’s actually seeing everything that he should be versus what he was experiencing. He’s just glad to be here and you know he’s one years old, so that kind of helps, and he’s still got a pup in him and like I said, he’s very calm and has a great demeanor,” Keylor said.
Merle Norman Cosmetics has partnered with the K-9 Adoption Center through the month of April to support the agency’s Griff Fund that helps to cover the costs of veterinary emergencies when they arise. 10 percent of every Merle Norman purchase will be donated specifically to the Griff Fund.
