ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week isn’t creepy or kooky, but she does love to get spooky.

Meet Wednesday! She’s a 2-year-old terrier mix who’s spayed, keeps a clean kennel, and is looking for her forever home.

Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says Wednesday came to them as a stray but is kid and dog friendly, so she’d do well with Cousin Itt.

“At our Trunk-or-Treat event, we couldn’t say enough great things about her.” McQuaid said. “She was around all of the other dogs and people and she just went around and just made up to everybody, had no real reaction to anything. So she would just be a great dog, we’ve even gotten it so that she will do high-5’s, she loves to sit for treats, I mean this dog just has such a great list of so many great things, would just be a perfect companion for anybody.”

McQuaid wanted to extend a thank you to all of the businesses and people that participated in the Trunk-or-Treat event at the Center.

He says it was great to see the kids out in their costumes, loading up on treats for later as well as some for their furry friends.

“Continue to check the Facebook and website, we have up and coming events that we don’t want anybody to miss out on.” McQuaid said. “One of our things coming up is going to be a big Christmas event at the Fairgrounds, so it’s even bigger and better than it was last year so we hope for everybody to be there. There will be tons of things to do for kids and even grownups so please, stop by.”
