Muskingum County’s ‘Cry Out America’
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Sunday September 10, 2017 will be a day for fellowship and prayer to honor local first responders.
This is the eighth year for Zanesville-Muskingum County to participate in a national event, ‘Cry Out America.’ Muskingum County Organizer Tim Alexander said when the 911 terrorist attack occurred the United States of America came together in prayer and now America needs to do it again.
“With all our current crises with Hurricane Harvey, now [Hurricane Irma] on its way, and the wildfires out west,” Alexander said. “There is constant crisis anymore and if we ever need prayer it’s now. It’s time to come together as a nation.”
This year ‘Cry Out America’ will be held at American Pride located on McIntire Avenue. Muskingum County Coordinator, Amy Moore said the event will run from 1:45 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
“We come together to honor our first responders and to show them our appreciation for their heroic efforts that they do everyday in their jobs,” Moore said.” So Tim Alexander and I both our hearts just go out to the fact that these men and women work so effortlessly everyday.”
Moore is reminding people to bring lawn chairs and water since their will not be a food truck present this year.
