Muskingum Library Sees An Increase of Tutor.com Users
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Many Muskingum County residents are taking advantage of a free online service.
The John McIntire Library System offers an online service called “tutor.com.” These students and non-traditional students can receive help. Tutor.com consists of one-on-one interaction and offers feed back during each session. Sessions typically range in length but the average time is 20 to 25 minutes.
“It’s used to be primarily 8th-grade students. But we see adults using it, the data base for the math and as well for review of papers. So to us that is very encouraging,” said Muskingum County Library System Assistant Director Blair Tom.
Tom said this online service is used for wide variety of purposes and needs.
“It’s a one on one session with a live tutor. They use a white board. People can have resumes reviewed, cover letters reviewed. We’re really encouraged to see more varied of uses being made by Muskingum County residents,” said Tom.
