Muskingum Rec Center prepares for annual In-Out Triathlon

ZANESVILLE,OH- The Muskingum Recreation Center is preparing for their third annual indoor outdoor triathlon.

The triathlon will take place on April 29th at the Rec Center and is open for both members and nonmembers. Head of the planning committee Libby Hardwick describes what the event will consist of.

“It’s gonna be a combination of indoor swimming for ten minutes, it will be a thirty minute indoor bike ride here in the cycling room, and then we will finish outside with a 5k run on the OUZ, Zane State Campus.”

The event is designed for both triathletes and beginners. Hardwick noted the Rec Center is offering a class to help any beginners interested.

“The class will begin on Saturday, March the 11th and will run every Saturday for eight weeks. Each class will consist of two components of a triathlon; so the participants may cycle they may bike, they may bike they may run.”
