Muskingum Recreation Center To Offer Healthy Living Series
The Muskingum Recreation Center is offering a Healthy Living Series to the public.
This is the Rec Centers first year doing the event. Exercise Specialist and Wellness Coach Meghan Green gave us an overview of the sessions.
"What the series encompasses is everything that someone needs to make a healthy behavior change and sustain that behavior change. Different topics such as the cognitive aspect of it, mindful thinking, just helping individuals understand what behaviors are healthy, what aren’t healthy and what they can do to change them."
The session costs $25 for members, $40 for non members and $10 for a single session drop in fee. The Rec Center can take between 10 to 18 individuals. Green told us how these programs benefit the community.
"It’s nice that people can come in here and not everyone’s on the same page when it comes to a behavior change or starting an exercise routine or just health issues in general so it’s nice for them, or for us to offer these services so they can get a wider view and scope of what they need to do to change."
The series is four weeks long and runs from May 19th to June 9th. You are able to register for the classes at the Rec Center, by phone or by getting more information off the website at the address: www.muskingumrecreationcenter.org
