Muskingum Soil & Water to Host Forestry and Wildlife Roundtable

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District is getting ready to host a series of roundtable meetings.
The first of four Forestry and Wildlife Roundtable meetings will take place on February 8th. Robert Boehle, a Forestry and Wildlife Specialist with the Conservation District, said these meetings are to work with landowners and help spread knowledge to others.
“It’s one thing for us, as professionals, to say things to landowners,” explained Boehle. “But for other landowners to come and learn from those lessons and really be able to transfer that knowledge.”
The meetings will be held each quarter as the seasons begin to change to the next. The first meeting will take place via zoom, but as the weather warms up the sessions will be in person.
Boehle said he hopes the people who attend the roundtable come out better than when they came in.
“We just want them to become better managers, to be able to manage their properties and make changes to better fit their objectives,” Boehle said. “Whether those are wildlife, for game species and non-game species or for timber.Just being able to provide this information to folks to allow them to make better decisions to better manage their properties.”
Registration is required for the Forestry and Wildlife Roundtable. You can head to the Muskingum Soil and Conservation District’s website and click the events tab to register.
