Muskingum volleyball sweeps Wilmington in doubleheader

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – For the past few years, the Muskingum University volleyball team has been a force to reckon with.
With many players returning for the 2020 season, the Muskies hoped to make a deep postseason run in the NCAA Division III tournament. Unfortunately, the fall season was postponed and the national tournament was cancelled.
It’s finally spring time, and the muskies are right back where they belong: on the court.
Muskingum was ranked 12th in Division III in the preseason AVCA polls, but have been absent in recent polls due to the AVCA’s rule that only allows teams that have played a contest to be ranked. W
The Muskies opened their season with two wins over John Carroll on Friday night, and Tuesday, they had the chance to add two more wins when they hosted Wilmington in New Concord.
