MVHC: Basketball Players of the Game (Monday, December 29)

MVHC Basketball

ZANESVILLE, OH – For one final time in 2025, it is time to take a look at the local players who showed out recently on the basketball court, in games broadcasted on both Highway 103 and Z92 radio with our ‘MVHC’ Players of the Game.

Beginning from Tuesday’s game on Highway 103, Sheridan picked up a much needed 50-31 win over Meadowbrook in Muskingum Valley League crossover play.

Generals senior Owen Cains did a bit of everything in the win with ten points, six assists, and four rebounds.

It was quite a busy week for Highway 103, which made the trek to Canton Memorial Field House over the weekend, where Maysville participated in the second annual ‘Shot Clock Shootout” event. The top team in the Division IV boys field knocked off the best team in Division II, St.-Vincent-St. Mary, behind 24 big points from senior big man Kane Roehrig, who is growing into his “Big Game Kane” moniker.

The Tri-Valley boys team found its stride as of late, as the ‘Dawgs’ are now winners of four in a row. The latest victory comes over Licking Valley, in which Troy Patterson tallied 14 points to pace his team.

Congratulations to all three athletes, and all of our ‘MVHC’ Players of the Game from the 2025 calendar year.
