MVHC: Basketball Players of the Game (Monday, January 26)

ZANESVILLE, OH – Before all the snow arrived, these three local area basketball players showed out on Friday night, and they are now recognized as our latest “MVHC” Players of the Game!
A career night for one from a player who is having one of the best career games in Maysville basketball history. For those who tuned into Z92 on Friday night, it was quite a show from Panthers guard Gator Nichols, tying a career-high with 42 points to will his team on the road past Tri-Valley.
It is nearly a month’s worth of victories now for West Muskingum, the latest of which coming over Morgan. Kyle Porter is the leading scorer for the Tornadoes as a senior, and he adds to his tremendous season with 23 points in the win in the game broadcasted on Highway 103.
A tough weekend for Zanesville, falling on back-to-back nights on AM 1240 against Watkins and Westland. While he didn’t see out the full game with an ankle injury against the former on Friday night, Trent Spies still provided energy and a pair of threes of the Blue Devils bench.
Congratulations to all three athletes.
