MVHC Players of the Game – Week Eleven

MVHC

ZANESVILLE, OH – “Week Eleven” just has a nice ring to it, does it not?

So do high school football playoffs, with 12 total teams entering the tournament field, and seven of them still alive after round one. Among the local standouts to begin the postseason are our “MVHC: Players of the Game” from our weekly radio broadcasts.

The crew from Z92 made the trip all the way out to Granville for a Division III matchup against the Sheridan Generals. Even in the heartbreaking defeat, quarterback Tyce Whiteman gutted out an injury-plagued, yet tremendous junior season with a pair of touchdowns against the Blue Aces.

The game from Highway 103 was live from Circleville in a Division IV tilt for Philo. The Electrics certainly had its work cut out for them on defense, but nobody told Camden Stoner, who finished his high school football career with ten total tackles.

If nothing else, you knew you could expect high scoring games from the Rosecrans Bishops in 2025. AM 1240 went out to witness a high scoring affair against Conotton Valley, and if you tuned into the broadcast, you know that senior Coen Grandstaff was all over the field.

He left it all out on the field with 14 receptions for 231 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver, while also carrying the ball twice for 31 more yards and a third score.

Congratulations to all three athletes and to those who have finished up on the football field.
