MVHC Players of the Game – Week Five

MVHC

ZANESVILLE, OH – The first half of the high school football regular season has come to a close, and with still so much more to come, we take a look at our week five MVHC Players of the Game.

From the game on Z92, New Lexington won the battle of 2024 MVL champions after a resounding 29-7 win over Tri-Valley.

Not only do the Panthers maintain the only unbeaten record in the league, but also do so on both sides of the ball. Specifically on defense, senior linebacker Harrison Ratliff came away with two interceptions and a sack, leading New Lex to its first win over Tri-Valley since 2008.

Over on the small school station, Highway 103, Maysville made a resounding statement over at Stewart Field.

The Panthers shut out Coshocton, 48-0, behind a near perfect day for senior quarterback Kade Rock, who accounted for five touchdowns on 12 of 15 passing.

It was perhaps the best performance of the season for Zanesville, coming oh so close to its first victory of the season against Northridge. Despite a tough defeat, junior Bentley Beaver recorded seven tackles, two of which for loss, a sack, and a pass breakup, from our game on AM 1240.

Congratulations to our week five MVHC Players of the Game!
