MVHC Players of the Game – Week Seven

ZANESVILLE, OH – There was no luck needed, as our latest batch of MVHC Players of the Game proved why they deserve this honor from their week seven performances.
The Sheridan Generals won their fifth straight in a 28-7 win over Philo in a big time big school division clash. Senior offensive weapon Logan Hupp was a huge difference maker with a 12-yard touchdown run and a 50-yard touchdown reception in the first half, this coming from the game on Z92 in week seven.
Moving over to the game from Highway 103, West Muskingum got back on track by defeating Crooksville in impressive fashion, 34-12.
Carter Smith is some kind of talent in his junior season. Traditionally a wide receiver, Smith threw a touchdown pass while on defense, he recorded twelve tackles, two for loss, and an interception in the win.
AM 1240 hit the road for Zanesville’s tough matchup against league leading Licking Valley in week seven. Despite a difficult loss, the Blue Devils’ starting center Beau Young continued his solid performance leading the line all season.
Congratulations to all three athletes.
