MVHC Players of the Game – Week Six

MVHC

ZANESVILLE, OH – Week six of the high school football season may have been the best one yet. High-scoring games, upsets all around, and instant classics made Friday night one to remember. The only way to cap it off is with our MVHC Players of the Game from our radio broadcasts.

The game from Z92 on Friday night saw Philo run all over Crooksville for a 36 to 12 win, improving to 5-1 on the season. Senior wide receiver Aidan Mahon stood out, among the rest of the Electrics, including a 46-yard touchdown early in the second half.

New Lexington remains the only unbeaten team in the Muskingum Valley League for either division, and junior quarterback Lane Ratliff is as big a reason as any for the Panthers’ success. From the game on Highway 103 against Coshocton, Ratliff completed 20 of 28 pass for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown to cap off a shutout victory.

Zanesville had a tough road contest against Mt. Vernon on AM 1240 in week six. Despite a tough defeat, junior Trio Ladd made his presence felt on the defense line for the Blue Devils, with countless tackles against the Yellowjackets.

Congratulations to all three athletes!
