MVHC Players of the Game – Week Three

MVHC

ZANESVILLE, OH – Another exciting week of high school football brings upon the MVHC Players of the Game for week three from our radio broadcasts.

On Friday night, Z92 had a good one when Philo marched into Maysville territory and handed the Panthers their first loss of the season.

The Electrics scored five rushing touchdowns in the game, all coming from senior quarterback Jack Lincicome.

The AM 1240 crew was at Sulsberger Stadium for the first time to see Zanesville battle Newark. Junior running back Carter Hennessey carried it 14 times for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, we had a double dose of Highway 103 games this past weekend. New Lexington overwhelmed Morgan to remain unbeaten on the season, led on defense by senior star Paul Nealy, who recorded six tackles, including two and a half sacks in the win.

In the last road contest before the home opener in week four, Rosecrans fell in a wild one to Steubenville Catholic Central. Despite the tough loss, Nick Bernath was responsible for three of the Bishops’ seven touchdowns.

Congratulations to all four athletes on these honors from week three.
