Nashport Man Cited for Reckless Operation of Motor Vehicle

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says a Nashport man was cited after driving an off-road Caterpillar Dump truck on US 22 near Airport Road. Sergeant Jeffrey Jirles says just after 2:00 pm Thursday, troopers saw 54-year-old David Ford of Nashport driving the over-sized vehicle in violation of multiple state laws. Jirles says the vehicle was over the legal height, over the legal width and over the legal weights. Ford was cited by the patrol for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle. To be moved legally, the vehicle would be required to have a special hauling permit. Ford has been cited into Muskingum County Court.
