Nashport Man Pleads Guilty in Child Rape

A Nashport man pleads guilty to the rape of a girl under the age of 13. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 47-year-old Terry Prouty was facing two counts of rape and one count of bribery. The State agreed to drop one count of rape at sentencing. Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Prouty’s bond at one-million dollars.
