National Small Business Saturday

In the mix of all the holiday excitement and Black Friday shopping, today was also a very special day for small businesses.
It’s National Small Business Saturday. A brand new business called ‘The Narrows’ organized the small business day in the basement of the Carl Mitzel building. There were 18 local vendors present.
“I think Melissa and I want to help people live unconventional lives. For us that’s based largely on our faith and belief in god and Jesus. But, even for people who aren’t religious; we kind of want to help people break out of the day to day corporate, consumer mentality and do things that are really fulfilling and satisfying to them on deeper levels,” said Pauquette.
Pauquette told us, their company wanted to bring something unique and special to the Zanesville community.
“We want to support the community of artist’s and small business people. This seemed like a good way to do it, especially after the farmers market closed, then with small business Saturday’s, these events kind of collided into something I hope is successful and helpful for the small business community,” said Pauquette.
