ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A new shop has been added to the Masonic Temple and is having its grand opening on Friday during the in-person First Friday Art Walk.

The Glass Act is located on the second floor at the Masonic Temple. You can find paintings and glassware products from the Cambridge Glass Company, Mosser Glass.

“Mosser glass, which is a great American made glass in Cambridge. It’s the only one left over there but it’s beautiful, it’s comprehensive, it’s colorful and it makes a really good gift for us guys that really don’t know what to get a wife or mother that has everything and we don’t know what to get them,” Artist Ron Apperson said.

The Masonic Temple has about 50 businesses and artists. Currently, 20 of them will be participating in the First Friday Art Walk. The Glass Act is the only business in the building that sells glassware products.

“Being able to showcase what they do, not only the glass but the art that he is doing. We just want to be able to showcase that and show everybody what it is, because a lot of people that come to our events have never stepped foot in this building,” Tennant Committee member Joanna Burchett said.

The Glass Act will have 15 percent off everything in the shop on Friday. The Art Walk is from 5 to 8 p.m.
