New Concord Woman Arrested After Accident

The Highway Patrol says a New Concord woman was arrested after an overnight accident. It happened on I-77 one mile north of Caldwell just after 11:30 Wednesday night. Troopers say 42 year-old Daphne Tipton was traveling on I-77, went off the right side of the road and slammed into the back of a parked semi on the berm. The Patrol says Tipton’s Husband, Larry, who was a passenger in the vehicle was injured and transported to Southeastern Med in Cambridge. Troopers says Mrs. Tipton was arrested on an outstanding warrant and will be charged with O-V-I, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
