New Eminent Prior Named

District 4 of the Ohio Priory Number 18 is bestowing an important honor on the shoulders of a 73-year-old Zanesville man.

Pat Lively, former owner of the Lively Dry Wall Company, has been named the 2010 Eminent Prior of the State of Ohio. He says it is an honor he never thought he would achieve.

"This takes a lot of years to get to where I’m at today. I’ve been in this for approximately 47 years, and I have traveled a great bit in the state of Ohio and also out of the state of Ohio, " says Lively.

Lively says as the new Eminent Prior of the State of Ohio, he plans to travel and promote the group’s charities, one of which includes the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.

"They research medicine for cancer victims. They treat, I believe, 52,000 people a year. A couple years ago, they have a vaccine for young ladies for ovarian cancer, " says Lively.

Lively spent the night celebrating with family, friends, and other members of the community. He says his job tonight was to shake the hands of everyone who came out to honor him on this special night.
