New Impact Director at United Way

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties has a new Community Impact Director.

Zanesville native, Becky Clawson, has worked in the healthcare field for 16 years and spends her free time doing community service, which has inspired her to get involved with the United Way.

“A little bit of what I do is to figure out the needs of the community by meeting with partners and community leaders, and then effectively communicate those needs throughout the community, as well as, ensure that our investment here at United Way through those community partnerships are meeting those immediate needs,” Clawson said.

The United Way is also gearing up for its Campaign Kickoff Week. Some of the events this year include an information fair at Avon, Kickball for a Cause at the Fieldhouse and a home dedication by Habitat for Humanity.

“Kickoff Week is a celebration of our investments and it starts off our campaign, so it’s our big community kickoff to announce campaign and kind of celebrate the things we’ve done in the previous year, and plan and look forward to the things in the future year,” Clawson said.

The United Way is always in need of volunteers. If interested, contact the United Way at, (740) 454-6872 .
