New Lexington Man Charged in Drug Trafficking

36-year-old Curtis P. Walton faces one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Oxycodone, a felony in the fourth degree, following the execution of a search warrant at 313 North Mill Lane in New Lexington on February 26.

The Central Ohio Drug Task Force and the Perry County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began after numerous citizen complaints were made, reporting short term vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the residence.

Prescription drugs and U.S. currency were seized from the home. Agents allege Walton would receive prescription drugs from his personal physician and sell them from home.

Walton is being held at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail. More charges are expected to be filed once the case is presented to the Perry County Grand Jury.
