New Longaberger store opens in Dresden

DRESDEN, Ohio- A new store with a familiar name celebrated a grand opening today.
Longaberger Patio Shops opened on Main Street in Dresden bringing in fans from all around. Longaberger first got its start in Dresden before moving to Newark. The company’s new owner, Dave Rochon, said he wanted to restore the business back to its good name and he felt Dresden would be the perfect place to do that.
“I wanted to come back to a town that gave this company the dignity that they deserved. The respect that they deserve and for this company to once again revitalize a town that cares about us,” said Dave Rochon the Owner.
The store offers shoppers a unique experience. The store is four buildings connected together with each one stocked with the infamous Longaberger baskets.
“We offer a really unique environment here. Something that’s not really…we don’t offer anything else in the area that’s quite like this,” said Linda Bowers the Director of Guest Experiences. “We have baskets and pottery. And you can get gift certificates for literally every occasion. And things for your home if you just want to decorate or gift giving.”
The store also has a room where you can make your own basket. The store is located at 608 Main Street.
