New Pizza Shop Opens In Zanesville

A new pizza shop has opened up in Downtown Zanesville.

Koky’s is located at 57 South 6th Street and has been up and running for about two months now. We spoke to owner Randy Case who told us more about the rich family history behind preparing this American favorite.

"Well I’ve always wanted top open up a pizza shop and my family’s been in and out of pizza businesses all my life. I grew up in one. My mom and dad had a pizza shop in the late 60’s down in Putnam called Amco Pizza. My gradparents who I lived with had a pizza shop down in Duncan Falls called Phi Dunk Pizza Shop and I grew up in that."

Case says the dough and sauce is a family recipe. If you aren’t a fan of pizza, there are many other options that you can enjoy like Stromboli, a signature of the restaurant, subs and wings too. Case gave us his thoughts on being involved in the local business scene.

"The city of Zanesville and Muskingum county is never going to improve itself unless locals get involved and basically do their own thing and open their businesses and make it themselves. Because I don’t see anybody coming in anytime soon to bring in a big huge factory or something like that for people to work and the only way we are going to be able to get by is to start doing our thing."

The store offers sit down meals, citywide lunch delivery or pick up. The hours of the shop are 11AM to 10PM Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 12PM to 9PM. Case hopes you come down to see what they have to offer.
