New Senior Care Center in Zanesville

A regional senior care center has added a new office in Zanesville.

Home Instead Senior Care opened its doors less than a month ago on Maple Avenue.

Owner Amy Huddleston said her company provides non-medical services for not only seniors, but people of all ages.

"We provide services where care-givers come into people’s homes, and they cook meals for them, they remind them to take their medication, they drive them to appointments, and run errands. We also helps with bathing, light housekeeping, laundry, just all the services that would help keep them home instead," said Huddleston.

The company is owned by the world’s largest non-medical service provider for senior citizens.

Community Service Representative Kimberly Hosler said keeping seniors independent is important.

"Seniors have a desire to remain living independently for as long as they can, and we are in with them in that process. We support them, even if they are in an assisted living facility, whatever place they call home, we’re there to provide safety for them, and companionship," said Hosler.

Hosler added that the company is hosting a workshop in the near future aimed at driver education for its senior citizen clients.
