New Terrain Mapping in Perry County
A new piece of equipment in Perry County will help emergency medical services and response times in the area.
The United States Department of Agriculture approved $56,000 to the county for the purchase of a Geographic Information System, which maps terrain.
The system will create a GIS Map of the area that can be used to help emergency dispatchers more accurately send out personnel.
Other money for the over $235,000 project came from the county, The County Engineers Association of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
