New Urgent Care opens on Putnam Avenue

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Muskingum Valley Health Center opened its new Urgent Care facility today in Zanesville. 

There are three other urgent care facilities in Morgan, Guernsey and Coshocton Counties. 

“I look forward to actually just helping all people along this area, a lot of them don’t get the health care that they need because they can’t make it to the hospital, or make it to a clinic setting, so it’s really going to help improve our health care in general,” Muskingum Valley Health Care Family Nurse Practitioner Amanda Hunter said.

The urgent care offers walk-in appointments and can assist patients with basic needs as well as specific procedures; x-rays, stitches and drawing blood.

“Just bringing these people to get there and get everything checked out, or even if something small happens, you can come in and stop and see us. If you need antibiotics or anything like that,” Hunter said.

Patients can find the new urgent care at 915 Putnam Ave. The hours of operation are currently Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
