New Year, New Opportunity to Start Your College Journey
ZANESVILLE, OH – The New Year is a time for new adventures and experiences.
Which means it’s the perfect time for prospective college students to get out and tour the school they’d like to attend.
Heather Sands, the Manager of Campus Communications and External Relations with Ohio University Zanesville, said with the start of the Spring semester just a week away, now is the time to plan a tour.
She said this will be a good time for students to speak to professors, learn the campus layout, and ask any questions you may have.
“It’s a great time to come to campus and see what we’re about, see what Ohio University Zanesville has to offer,” Sands said. “We have opportunities if you’re interested in transferring in, if you have some college credits to transfer in, or new freshmen for the fall.”
Sands says the OUZ offers not only in person campus tours but also virtual ones. She said these are for people without transportation or are out of state but still want to see the campus.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to step foot on to campus, a lot of people drive by our campus on a daily basis and people listening to this are probably one of them,” Sands said. “Being able to step foot, get to know some of your academic advisors, get to know some of the faculty members. “
