Newark Arson Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A Newark man accused of two arsons is arraigned Tuesday.

28-year-old Matthew Craig pleaded not guilty to charges of arson and aggravated arson.

He’s being held at the Licking County Justice Center on a $250,000 bond.

Newark police say Craig was arrested last month in connection with two fires at 105 South 5th Street that occurred on September 20 and September 23.

His pre trial hearing has not been set yet.
