Newark honors Veterans by partnering up with the Budweiser Clydesdales

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Matesich Distributing and Budweiser partnered up to recognize the past and present soldiers who fought for America’s freedom.
The Budweiser Clydesdales went through the downtown streets of Newark to honor military veterans of Licking County. Marketing Director Kelly Dyar said when they got the green light for the Clydesdales they wanted to highlight the troops.
“Since Budweiser is a very big proponent of To the Heroes, Folds of Honor, what better way to go ahead and bring the military in here and thank them for what they’ve done for our country.”
Dyar is also using this event to launch pictures and name on banners that will be hung around town from the city’s light post. Dyar says hanging the banners is just another way to say thank you.
“It tells them how grateful we are for everything they’ve done,” said Dyar. “If it weren’t for them it would be horrible. As much as I’d love to think they get that thank you, I don’t know they get it often enough nor as deep gratitude of what they truly deserve.
Banners can be purchased for $100, and after the one to three year display time, the banners will go back to the veteran’s family.
